"You can't use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have"
Maya Angelou
Hi there! My name is Manon Kugler and I am a final-year student at Mount Royal University's Bisset School of Business, majoring in marketing and minoring in innovation and entrepreneurship.
I'm passionate about marketing because it allows me to creatively connect with audiences and drive meaningful engagement.
Marketing isn't just about selling products or services; it's about telling stories, building relationships, and creating experiences that resonate with people on a deeper level. I love the dynamic nature of marketing, where I can constantly learn and adapt to new trends, technologies, and consumer behaviors. Being able to strategize, execute, and measure the impact of marketing campaigns is incredibly fulfilling to me.
Throughout my journey in building my marketing experience, I have actively engaged in various clubs such as MRU Marketing Society and MRUHACKS, pursued an internship at Parks Canada, and taken on a part-time role at bare WAXING STUDIO. Please continue scrolling to explore my marketing portfolio.

Parks Canada
Heritage Programs Student, Promotions, and Social Media (internship)
May - August 2023
During my four months at Parks Canada in Banff, AB, I promoted three national historical sites: Cave and Basin, Banff Park Museum, and Rocky Mountain House.
I played a key role in crafting and scheduling engaging social media posts for Facebook using Meta Business Suite, ensuring visitors were informed about news, closures, and site updates. Additionally, I contributed to the website's content by regularly updating it with photographs and informative material. I arranged a photoshoot to highlight Rocky Mountain House National Site's campground, making it more appealing and attracting visitors. Moreover, I fostered collaboration between sites through cross-promotional initiatives for events, resulting in increased community engagement and attendance.

My Design Projects
SubZero
Junior Achievemnt Company Program
I participated in the Junior Achievement Company program during high school, where I collaborated with other students who had an entrepreneurial spirit to launch a company called SubZero. We supplied windscreen coverings for the winter. I held the role of vice president of marketing and was responsible for overseeing the marketing division. Utilizing Canva, I designed the packaging, logo, business cards, and information cards that were used to promote and attract potential customers for our product.

CHEVALIER
Luxury Car Company
I created these marketing materials as part of my continuing education graphic design class at the University of Calgary. The company, named Chevalier, which means knight in French, is a luxury car company. The knight in the logo represents both the driver and the car. The brand promotes values such as excellence, perseverance, and honesty, similar to a knight. The safety and reliability of the car are symbolized by the knight and his horse's armour. The white star on the upper right symbolizes quality, power and adventure. The design of the knight on horseback in action emerging out of the logo makes it unique.

Brochure Design
Information design
The objective of this assignment was to design a brochure that would be used by the marketing department at Mount Royal University (MRU) to promote the school's information design program. The goal was to create a brochure that aligned with MRU's style, colours, and aesthetic, while also incorporating the various theories, concepts, and techniques learned in class. The target audience for this brochure was prospective students, specifically recent high school graduates considering enrolling in the bachelor's degree program at MRU for the upcoming academic year. As a recent high school graduate myself, I wanted to make the process of researching the program easier by providing a straightforward and informative brochure that had all the necessary information
Poster Designs
I am Saki Mafundikwa
For my information design class, I was assigned to create a poster that highlighted the significant contributions of Saki Mafundikwa to the design industry. I conducted thorough research and carefully selected the elements to showcase his achievements in the most creative and visually pleasing way while maintaining a specific aesthetic. As he places a high importance on Afrikan typography, I hand-sketched it in various styles around him, utilizing the colors of the Zimbabwean flag as a symbol of his homeland and Africa. To add a call-to-action, I incorporated a QR code that directs visitors to a website where they can learn more about Mafundikwa's life and works.

Social Media Effects on Teens: Photoshop
I created this poster for one of my marketing classes. My group and I wanted to focus on the social media effects on teenagers. In my poster, I emphasized the pervasive influence of social media on teens by highlighting how advertisements are heavily edited. To illustrate this, I incorporated watermarks that indicate the use of editing tools, underscoring the often unrealistic standards set by social media. Additionally, I included a QR code on the poster to direct viewers to more in-depth information about these effects. To highlight the impact on girls, who are often more affected by these unrealistic standards, I used pink colors throughout the design. This choice also ties into the cultural icon of Barbie, who has long been regarded as the benchmark of beauty standards. Through these elements, my poster aims to shed light on the significant impact that edited content can have on the mental health and self-perception of teenagers, especially girls.

Textbook
Designs
In my marketing design literacy course, I was tasked with using InDesign to reorganize our textbook. We had to use the same text as the original textbook, but the challenge was to improve its layout and visual appeal. To achieve this, I incorporated various images and captions to illustrate key concepts and make the content more engaging. By carefully selecting relevant visuals and placing them strategically, I aimed to enhance the reader's understanding and retention of the material. This project not only honed my technical skills in InDesign but also improved my ability to convey information effectively through design.
